On October 31st, 1917, the 4th Australian Light Horse Brigade launched an audacious charge on the Ottoman-held town of Beersheba.  Recapture this key moment in Australian military history with the Charge at Beersheba Light Horse Figurine!

During WWI, the Australian Light Horse did not usually operate like traditional cavalry. Rather than mounting a charge, troops would typically ride up to their targets, then dismount and fight on foot. Beersheba was the one exception.

A daring attack

By October 31st, 1917, water was in short supply. The men’s horses hadn’t had a drink since the day before. The nearby Ottoman stronghold of Beersheba had wells. Seizing it was critical.

The Australians used their bayonets as swords, launching a cavalry-style charge at the town. The defending Ottoman troops were taken completely by surprise by this brazen attack. With thundering horses flying over their positions, their gunners struggled to connect with a target.

Just 5,000 castings of this figurine have been made, so we recommend you act fast to avoid missing out! Each figurine is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
